Other impressive times from Central’s runners were Hugh Kerr (3hours 8mins), heading home Stuart Watson (3hours 19mins) and Alan Gall (3hours 53mins).
Elsewhere Alastair Hay continues to move closer to his best with a 3min 44.43secs clocking over 1500metres in Ordegem, Belgium.
Central’s youngsters were on show at Meadowbank in Division One of the Young Athletes League and while full results are not yet to hand there were personal bests recorded throughout the day and Central finished in a competent fifth place overall.
Lewis Millar won the Dunblane 7.5 mile Road Race, covering the undulating course in 41min 7secs while Jennifer Emsley (46.43) and Claire Couper (47.52) finished first and second ladies and an impressive fourth and fifth overall.
