CENTRAL AC women took three of the top four places in the Vale of Leven 10K Road Race at Loch Lomond Shores on Sunday.
Jennifer Emsley won in a personal best time of 35m 59s, followed home by Lyndsay Morrison in second (36.16) and Claire Couper in fourth (37.06) to lift the team prize.
David Lindsay ran 35.04 for 14th overall in a field of more than 800 finishers.
There were five gold medals for Central AC members who swapped their club vests for school colours at the Scottish Schools championships at Grangemouth at the weekend.
Kathryn Gillespie of Dollar Academy was a comfortable winner in the group B (15-16) girls 1500m, finish 10 seconds clear in 4:41.84 then took silver in the 800m. She is aiming for a place in the Olympic trials this month.
Dollar resident Robert Burns, representing Kinross High in group D (U14), won the hammer then added 4m to his best in the discus to add a silver medal.
Ryan Calder of Wallace High smashed his personal best to take gold in the group A (17 and over) long jump with 6.27m.
In the girls 75m hurdles Caitlin Edgar of Morrison's Academy was a clear winner in the group D event in a personal best 11.87s before Dunblane girl Sarah Pearson won the group C (age 14) final in a photo finish at 11.69s. Sophie Parsons (McLaren High) was also in the final.
Charlie Dineen of Dollar Academy took bronze in the group D boys 80m hurdles.
Bevhan Trevis from Dollar Academy was 4th in the group D shot, Emily Batchelor of Dunblane was 4th in the group B triple jump and 5th in the long jump and Jessica Stitt of Alva Academy took 5th in the group D high jump (1.35m).
Dunblane’s Euan Lambert was 5th in the group C 400m and in the group C 800m Jamie Paterson was 5th and Iain Davies 8th. Emily Greenan (Dunblane) and Eilidh MacCorquodale (Lornshill) both reached the group B 1500m final, with Eilidh finishing 6th.
