Milton eased past Viewfield Rovers in the Willie Turner Challenge Cup on Saturday.
They started the second round tie in a positive mood, opening the scoring through Kane in only four minutes.
Walker, Kane Reid and Sneddon all came close before Kane scored his second of the game after 20 minutes, finishing well from inside the box.
Sneddon was unlucky on two more occasions, with the Viewfield keeper saving his goalbound efforts, while McEwan in the Milton goal was doing the same at the other end as Viewfield were pursuing a goal of their own.
Kane clinched his hat-trick after 40 minutes following a fine piece of individual skill and a run by Walker. Paul Statter scored number four with a cheeky back-heel after 55 minutes.
Viewfield scored shortly after but Sneddon made it 5-1 with a shot from 20 yards.
The visitors scored a second goal before a terrific series of one-touch passing between Kane and Sneddon led to the latter curling the ball into the bottom corner of the goal from 15 yards.
Carson came on as a substitute, scored a fine individual goal after 80 minutes and added his second and Milton’s eighth near the end.
On Saturday Milton host Bearsden in the sixth round of the West of Scotland Cup with a 2pm kick-off.Read
